The Others is the result of the careful observations I have been making day after day for several years. With this work I ask us to be more attentive and aware of our surroundings, to pause for a moment, to watch, to see, to listen and to immerse ourselves in the lives of others. To experience the magic of the moment, to perceive the absurdities but also the melancholy of everyday life, and to feel that you are not alone, that you are part of something bigger - a society that thrives on its diversity.

Often the finger is pointed at others and their perceived 'faults' or weaknesses. In this work I also point the finger - not out of disgust or superiority, but out of love for detail, for what is often overlooked, for what makes us human, for what deserves more attention. Be it because it makes us smile, because it touches us or maybe even shocks us a little. The Others is a declaration of love and social criticism all in one.
